Things are not okay. I'm one of the lucky ones for whom nothing much has ever gone wrong, but even I (standing at the unmarked corner of every possible intersectionality) can see that things are not okay. I was heartened by the sight (on Twitter) of a group of masked, young Texans chanting in unison for a supporter of the governor's intrusive, nasty ruling on gender identity to fuck off when he visited them in their classroom. Young people are a source of hope.
